Job Description


The Marketing Manager will lead the strategy development and delivery of all marketing efforts for all HPI activities. This role will include both “always-on” and campaign based activities to each of our various brand target audiences. As the Marketing Manager, you will be expected to be familiar with, or be confident to manage a team/agency familiar with a wide variety of channels including but not limited to; Web/Native Content development & PR, Mobile Marketing, e-Mail marketing & CRM, SEM, SEO, Social Media and Display Banners

1. Marketing expectations:

- Translating the HPI company vision and business goals into an online setting with a coherent digital marketing strategy with clear integration touch points to existing traditional marketing activities

- Development and implementation of the Brands strategy.

- Developing the marketing strategy for new and existing products

- Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR.

- Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team.

- Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.

- Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all marketing plan

- Working closely with the Brand team, Operations team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations

- Managing the team across all performance and non-paid marketing channels to generate leads/interest/awareness on a case-by-case basis

- Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data

- Manage marketing campaign strategy and content development

- Ensure appropriate planning and resources are in place to accomplish goals.

- Leading, managing and training the marketing team & CRM team (as well as any appointed thirdparty agencies) including the creation of all key reporting formats/dashboards and regular monitoring of all key KPIs

- Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company’s website and any other owned digital assets that the company may develop

- Managing the team across all performance and non-paid marketing channels to generate leads/interest/awareness on a case-by-case basis

- Managing any on-going feature set redesigns of the company website or should a new website refresh be required, managing the complete re-design including all mood boards, story boards, Information architecture and content plans

- Manage marketing campaign strategy and content development and delivery across multiple web sites and other digital channels

- Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website

- Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data

- Understanding analytics and measuring ROI in coherent reporting templates/dashboards

- Quarterly marketing audit of performance vs. budget as well as the creation of coherent marketing plans for the next quarter drawing from gained data and experience

- Planning and delivering CRM strategies across the company encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty program

- Provide functional expertise, and best practices and recommendations regarding the execution of digital marketing campaigns. Apply expertise to demonstrate how digital communications can improve the reach and enhance effectiveness of marketing campaign content.

- Managing brands and product campaigns to increase brand awareness

2. People Expectations:

- Recruit, select & develop high calibre management for the team

- Ensure all member of the team are inducted effectively using where applicable on-boarding training materials and where such materials do not exist, working with the HR department to develop such

- Provide coaching, deliver feedback, & delegate tasks to stretch & challenge the team

- Build & maintain influential & productive working relationships with the team to influence their performance positively

- Deliver timely, effective & energizing communications to stores using the most appropriate methods

- Manage underperformance in a timely & appropriate way

- Create a positive team spirit & support other team members

- Network & build relationships internally & externally to deliver commercial outputs

- Take ownership for issues & results

- Manage your own time to ensure deadlines are met & actions are followed up & completed to a high standard

- Demonstrate an aptitude for working well under pressure

- Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple priorities & remain focused on the key goals


- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business administration or relevant other subject

- Strong interest in fashion retail and at least 3-5 years of experience within the fashion industry

- Experience in ecommerce, oversight and management of digital marketing campaigns across multi- channels

- Track record of building scalable digital marketing campaign strategies and executing strategies with passion, precision and excellence

- Management experience leading matrixed teams including goal setting, managing team activities, and managing performance

- Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice

- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in dealing with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders, and interacting with business and technology partners

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, across all organizational levels

- Good operational and process orientation

- Strong project management and organizational abilities

- Creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas and solutions and partner effectively with marketing and other creative teams

- Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role
